George M. Sutton Wilderness Park (Norman)
With nice trails available for biking, running or just walking the dog, Sutton Wilderness Park offers peaceful scenery including a lake, gazebo and wilderness trails.
Bert Cooper Trails (Lake Hefner, Oklahoma City)
Enjoy wide open views of Lake Hefner on this 10-mile journey perfect for biking, jogging or walking. For a longer ride, connect to the Hefner-Overholser Trail to explore both lakes on your journey.
Katy Trail (North Oklahoma City)
Start at Deep Fork Creek, near I-44 and Grand Boulevard and follow the roadway south along portions of abandoned railroad. This 6.3-mile trail is perfect for a day of biking, jogging or walking.
Oklahoma River Trails (Downtown, Oklahoma City)
This tree-lined, 13-mile trail provides a smooth, level pathway along the Oklahoma River with scenic views of the waterway, parks and wetland areas.
HIKING
Clear Bay Trail System at Lake Thunderbird (Norman)
These trails, broken down into five loops, offer more than 900 feet of elevations in ascents and descents.
Lake McMurtry (Stillwater)
An easily accessible venue for moderate difficulty hiking, trail running or off-road biking, these trails are divided into four loops and are in good condition and well-marked, including distance markers.
Sportsman Lake (Seminole)
Grab a map and hike the five-mile loop through this beautiful, hilly, wooded country.
Roman Nose State Park (Watonga)
This one-of-a-kind Oklahoma hiking experience offers views of mesas, canyons and ice-cold natural springs with plenty of cacti along the way. This is a great trail for beginners.
